Very Ghent modern-American bistro, complete with refurbished old house atmosphere, dim lighting, and barely there seating accomodations.

The food was all-around great. The voters in the Pilot stated this was the best grilled cheese in the city, and it would be hard to argue. Great cheese selection made even better with bacon. My only little minor complaint was the bottom of the sandwich sogged out a little from being right against the plate, perhaps propping it up on the fries would have helped a little bit.

The fries ($1.75 extra instead of the salad) were great. Very similar to 5 Guys. Thanks for letting us taste the potato, and not slicing these into matchsticks like so many others.

Goat cheese appetizer with roasted peppers, olives and bulb of roasted garlic was everything it should have been.

The bread pudding was great on flavor, just a little too much on bread too little on sweet/moist in the texture, but a minor complaint.

The menu planning and restaurant focus were great. Everyone please take note of the model: A small selection of what is great, seasonal and what can be done with excellence by the kitchen. Add a great wine list, and a small dessert selection that goes above and beyond. Can the stuffiness/corny friendliness and just be pleasant and relaxed. Keep the prices sane. Allow flexiblility for the style of diner...whether they want to stay an hour and a half, or eat just one dish of high quality food and leave fast.

Will be back many times...
